Continuing Education

Summary

The ERA is committed to the academic growth and ongoing development of therapeutic skills in all of its graduates. As a result, we maintain a rich and varied program of 2 to 6-day workshops. All Certified Rolfers® must complete a minimum of eighteen days of approved continuing education over a period of three to seven years in preparation for their Advanced Rolfing® Training; this is a requirement to maintain the Rolfing certification.

Our members also hold other workshops, view upcoming External Events.

You'll learn about
Continuing Education studies can cover a broad range of relevant subjects. Certified Rolfers may take workshops in specific manipulative techniques or may explore other related fields such as Cranio Sacral Therapy or Visceral Manipulation. In addition, as part of the Advanced Training requirements, there are also Rolf Movement workshops offered frequently as well.

To fulfill the requirements in preparation for the Advanced Rolfing Training, credits from all three areas are required:

• Manipulation — Structural
• Movement — Rolf Movement
• Elective

Beyond this 3 to 7 year commitment to further education and development, the ERA encourages its members to develop a life-long program to do so. In support of this goal, the ERA is constantly seeking courses and instructors to support the members interest and continuing development in three areas.

• Post – Basic Certification workshops which are frequently used by the majority of members as a way to prepare for their Advanced Training.
• Post – Advanced Certification workshops which are closed to all but Advanced Rolfers.
• Post – Movement Certification workshops

Members of ERA receive regular updates and announcements of workshops and training opportunities, or can find them easily at the bottom of this page.

These continuing education requirements are among the many ways in which the ERA maintains its high standards and demonstrates them to the community.
